Mistake #1: Adopting Unsafe Driving Habits

While you don't need to read the entire document, be sure to brush up on right-of-way laws, traffic signs, passing, turning and parking. These subjects are likely to come up on your Texas driving test.

Mistake #3: Not Knowing What to Expect on the Exam

The Texas driver handbook also includes information about the state's road skills exam. Knowing what to expect can calm your nerves on test day and ensure that you're practicing the right maneuvers.

During the exam, your administrator will grade you on your ability to:
