Everything You Need to Know About Illinois Drivers Ed
The process is simple. Create an account by choosing a username and password. In a few minutes, you'll be all set to start the Illinois drivers ed course. You can pay right away or you can take up to 20% of the course before you make up your mind. Either way, you'll be on the road to becoming a safer driver.
Your course is available to you online 24/7. That means you can log in and out whenever you want and from any computer that has Internet access! When you log back in, we'll take you back to the exact place you left off. Doesn't that sound better than spending your weekends in a classroom?
At the end of the course there will be a final exam. Don't worry though—you can take it as many times as you need in order to pass. Once you pass the test, we'll mail out your Certificate of Completion within 1 business day. Shipment by USPS First Class Mail is free, but you can always upgrade your certificate's delivery method if you want.
Anybody! If you want to learn the rules of the road, prepare for the learners permit test, and possibly qualify for an auto insurance discount, you've come to the right place.
However, this course does not satisfy the Illinois drivers education option for new drivers under 18 years old.
The Illinois legislature has not yet authorized online drivers education. You can still take the course for an auto insurance discount or for your own educational purposes, but if you are required to take drivers education because of your age, you won't get any credit for this course at the DMV.
For many insurance providers, a Certificate of Completion from our online drivers education course qualifies you for a discount on your auto insurance. However, because every driver's situation is different, the only way to know for sure is to ask your insurance agent.
This will vary depending on your individual pace. The course is designed to be about 15 hours. The good news is that with DriversEd.com, you can always go at your pace and log in and out whenever you want. Think how fast time can fly if you do 20 minutes here and there!
You can take 20% of the course before you will need to make a payment in order to continue with the course.
After you pay for the course, your free practice permit tests will be accessible in your account.
After you complete the DriversEd.com course, we will mail your Certificate of Completion free of charge and within 24 business hours of your course completion. We mail your certificate from Oakland, CA.
You can change your delivery method online in your account.
