      Tony Sucks at Lessons

My first two lessons were decent. My instructor was Matt. He was cool and chill, only shouted often. But my third lesson was horrible. Tony was my instructor and he has no politeness what so ever. He yelled the whole time and if you don't do something PERFECTLY he yells at you and tells me I'm gonna fail my driving test. He needs to retire. After he started yelling at me (30 seconds into the lesson) I got nervous because of this dufus. Another hour had passed, I was dying for my lesson to end, never wanting to deal with this place again. He yelled at me again and I started to tear up. Then, he yells at ME and tells me to stop crying. My family did not pay money to be treated like animals. 10/10 do NOT recommend. They need to hire better teachers.

      Mad Mom

I too should have checked the reviews before going to SJ Driving School. The owner reminds me of a used car salesman and was just so cheesy. But he was even more rude!! Run away from this school.

the school is expensive and i would not mind if they provided good service...but they do not. The instructor did not teach he just sat there and yelled if i did something wrong, and did not at all suggest ways to improve. Horrible school on top of many things...

I am in complete agreement with all the other comments - Tony the owner is rude, he is interested in getting your money only. Don't give him your business.

My instructor smelled like a cigarette and made me run his errands. Didn't feel like a driver's lesson.

Thank you for the reviews. There is a recurring theme. I will find another driving school.

I wish I had read these reviews before taking my daughter to the SJ driving school. The woman in the office was polite, but the negative reviews about the owner are spot on. TONY = ONE RUDE DUDE - take your money somewhere else.

      Find another driving school!!! SERIOUSLY!!

GO FIND ANOTHER DRIVING SCHOOL!!!! If I could have given a ZERO star rating I would have. The owner, Tony is the rudest business person I have ever dealt with in my life. After paying the nearly $400 for my son, we met with Tony and within a few minutes his arrogance and God complex were evident. He made disparaging comments to us that were unwarranted and really out of line and spent far too much time talking about himself. I questioned the timing of when my son would get his permit and I relayed that our goal was for my son to have his driver's license by his 17th birthday which is nearly 7 months away. Tony said he was too busy and it would be a month before Tony's schedule would allow for my son to get his permit. I told him was an issue as that would delay his license and he brushed me off completely and disregarded my concern - When I wanted to discuss it he got rude and told me that no other school was going to do all the things he would do and that basically we would have to wait for him. I told him that could be a deal breaker for me and I wanted to discuss this and he became extremely rude - I guess he does enough business that other people put up with his rudeness but I would not pay someone $400 to be treated that way. I cannot imagine that any of the positive reviews were from any one that ever dealt with Tony. Tony loves Tony and only cares about Tony and getting your $400 and then he will let you know when he may have time to give your child lessons. Or when he will take your child to run his errands as the case may be. I will make a point to tell everyone I know not to go to South Jersey Driving School because the owner is just an arrogant ass. do yourself a favor - find another driving school - we already did and are thrilled with making a change to Marlton driving school - 194 New Jersey 70, Medford, NJ 08055 (609) 953-2600 they are all teachers and really nice and professional.

The owner, Tony is very rude and does not know how to properly handle customers. When I did not hear from them to confirm when they will be picking up my son on the test day, I called and left them a message. He called back at 4:30 in the AM and said he had called the day before and someone told him that we did not need their services. First of all, he needs to ask for parents to confirm and not any random person telling him anything as he may have called a wrong number. When I said that no one has called us, he said "don't tell me what I have or have not done". That is really a great way to speak to customers at 4:30 in the AM!!!! I don't care if you are the owner or who you are, need to learn how to speak to customers, as you have the business because of customers like us and speak to parents directly if or when you call to confirm something as important as taking a kid on the test day. By the way, we have checked our phone log for the past few days to confirm that in fact no one from the South Jersey Driving School had called!

The people that taught me were very mean and yelled at me the whole time. One guy even told me I would never get my license. Thanks for the pep talk bro. I went to another school and they were great and I passed my test the first try with them.

This is an excellent school with well-trained courteous instructors. I give it 5 stars. Obviously, many of these comments are bogus.

This school was alright overall. My instructor was quite a nice guy, but he was waaaay over critical about everything I did. He made me nervous when I was doing nothing wrong. He made me pull out in heavy traffic when I had no clearance and then complained about my mistake. He also pissed me off when he started eating in front of me. I was so hungry and I felt he was being a little rude to me by just eating his lunch in front of me when I was starving myself. We did practice parallel parking, but that's probably only because my dad asked him to help me with that. So it's not that bad, but be prepared for over critical instructors and bring Advil or Tylenol or whatever you use, because you might have a headache after the lesson. I sure did.

Barbara was wonderful, helpful and informative. Tony, the owner, on the other hand, was rude, disrespectful and highly unprofessional. He abruptly slammed the phone down and hung up on me during our conversation. I would never send my child to this driving school if the owner doesn't even have the patience to answer a few questions and give directions.
