I actually went to driving school twice. My first experience was with a different school, horrible driving school, which only gives you 1 hour of driving time, shared with other students while the instructor screams at you while you drive. It was very corrupt and clear that they were here to take our money and sign the paper saying we learned everything even if we didn't complete all the requirements. Since I didn't learn anything, I switched to Away-We-Go Driving Academy in Oxon Hill, and I couldn't believe the difference. The teacher Vivian is incredibly gifted at keeping students interested and in learning the rules of the road, by actually creating fun trivia games related to drinking, road signs, you name it. It was much more rigorous than the first driving school I attended, and we had more class hours and were tested more, but we learned what we needed to stay safe. Also, our behind-the-wheel hours were spent one-on-one, all six hours, with *incredibly* patient teachers. The complete opposite of my first driving school. I am very impressed and write this review because now I am sending my younger siblings there... and I want everyone to know how great it is so we have safer roads in PGC. (Also, so people don't waste their money like I did, just go straight to the best school *even if it's not your nearest one.*) |
