How It Works
1. How does online drivers ed work?
Course Eligibility
2. Who needs to take Utah drivers education?
Everyone in Utah, regardless of age, who plans to drive in Utah must take a DPS-approved drivers education course and earn an official Certificate of Completion before receiving their first drivers license.

DriversEd.com’s online course is DPS-approved and fulfills the Utah drivers education requirement for new drivers.
3. Does the DriversEd.com course satisfy DPS requirements?
4. What does the Utah drivers education program include?
5. What exactly is drivers education and drivers training?
Drivers Education is a class that teaches you the rules of the road, vehicle safety, etc., so you’re ready to pass your final written test. Our Utah drivers education course is DPS-approved so new Utah drivers can complete their class entirely online.

Drivers Training is the in-car driving lessons with a licensed driving instructor. In Utah, if you're earning your license for the first time, you must also enroll in 6 hours of drivers training and 6 hours of in-car observation by a licensed instructor.

Our Utah drivers education program includes all required parts (30 hours of drivers education, 6 hours of behind-the-wheel lessons, and 6 hours of in-car observation by a licensed instructor) for anyone at least 15 years old.
6. Can I try the online Utah drivers ed class before I have to pay?
Of course! You can take up to 20% of the online course before you need to make a payment.
