MN Drivers License Instructions
1. Be at least 15 years old
2. Send in form along with proof of homeschooled status
3. Take DPS-approved drivers ed
4. Get a Certificate of Completion
5. Enroll in behind-the-wheel training
6. Take the Department of Public Safety instruction permit test

Drivers Ed for HomeSchoolers
Homeschooled students in MN can fulfill the 30-hour classroom instruction requirement and receive a DPS-approved Certificate of Completion by taking DriversEd.com’s MN drivers education book course.
Note: You'll also need to complete six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction to earn your Minnesota drivers license.
